FRET TANG NIPPER
The fret tang nipper is designed to cut tangs of different fret models.
It provides a very clean L-shaped cut of a fret tang. Frets with tang butt-end cut in such a way provide an opportunity of decorative filling of slots on a fingerboard (e.g. plastic lining fitted to the edge, etc.)
Do the following to cut off a piece of the fret tang:
– hold the nipper in your right hand: stationary handle to your palm, movable handle to your fingers;
– hold the fret length or fret wire in your left hand in such a way for a crown to be directed to you and a stem directed from you;
– put the fret tang to fit into the slot of the die under the side cutting edge of the punch;
– press handles.
SINTOMS tang nipper can cut frets made of nickel silver and other materials with the following characteristics:
fret crown width up to 3,3 mm;
tang thickness up to 0,8 mm;
tang height up to 3,0 mm.
